Iron deficit (mg) = Body weight (kg) x (Target Hb – Current Hb) x 2.4 + Iron stores
※ 2.4 = 0.0034 x 0.07 x 10000 (Iron content in Hb is about 0.34%, blood volume is about 7% of body weight, 10000 is conversion factor)

※ Target Hb can be individualized according to the patient.
– Target Hb when body weight ≥ 35kg : 15 g/dL
– Target Hb when body weight < 35kg : 13 g/dL

※ Iron stores [Auto-filled according to body weight]
– Iron stores when body weight ≥ 35kg : about 500 mg
– Iron stores when body weight < 35kg : about 15mg/kg
*Direct input is also possible.

※ Usually, IV iron preparation 1A, 5mL contains a total of 100mg Iron. (Refer to each product description)
