  • Chest: 9%
  • Abdomen: 9%
  • Upper back: 9%
  • Lower back: 9%
  • Each leg: 18% (anterior 9%, posterior 9%)
  • Perineum: 1%

💧 Fluid Resuscitation Formula

Adults (Parkland Formula): Weight(kg) × %TBSA × 4ml = Total fluid volume in 24 hours

  • First 8 hours: 50% of total fluid volume (Ringer’s Lactate)
  • Next 16 hours: 50% of total fluid volume (Ringer’s Lactate)
  • %TBSA: Includes only 2nd degree or higher burns (excludes 1st degree burns)
