- Reticulocyte : 周邊血液中reticulocyte的數量反映造血狀態。
- Corrected Reticulocyte Count : 當Hb降低時，reticulocyte相對看起來增加，Corrected Reticulocyte Count對此進行校正。
- Reticulocyte Production Index (RPI) : 當造血增加時，erythroid cell以未成熟狀態釋放到周邊血液中，延長了它們作為reticulocyte存在的時間。Reticulocyte Production Index對此進行校正。
- 在貧血患者中，RPI 2.5以上提示溶血(Hemolysis)或失血(Bleeding)。（然而，RPI低於2.5並不能排除溶血和失血。）
